Ski Racing Safety Grant
The mission of the Nik Zoricic Foundation is to foster a safe environment for ski racing by providing training and race venues with the necessary, functional safety gear to decrease the risk of injuries. The foundation understands that the safety and well-being of athletes are vital to achieving success in the sport. To support this goal, the foundation offers a Ski Racing Safety Grant to Canadian ski resorts, clubs and programs to aid in purchasing equipment to enhance safety in their training and race environments.
Grant Eligibility
The Nik Zoricic Foundation Ski Racing Safety Grant is applicable for purchasing various equipment that aims to improve safety for athletes while training or competing. These include, but are not limited to, A and/or B netting and padding for man-made or natural obstacles. It should be noted that the grant will not be given for equipment such as timing devices, uniforms or gates.
The Nik Zoricic Foundation Ski Racing Safety Grant is a matching grant with a limit of 50% of the total cost of the equipment order. The applicant will be expected to provide the other half of the funding for the order; the foundation will match the funds up to an approved amount requested by the applicant.
