NZ Foundation Relay Race Fundraiser

Created as part of NZ Craigleith althlete Lisa Brunga’s CAS initiative, the race promotes education, injury prevention, and a shared love for the sport. This is Nik.

Nik Zoricic was a Canadian ski cross athlete who competed at the international level. He competed in both the FIS Ski Cross World Cup and the Winter X Games, and had several top 10 finishes in World Cup events. Sadly, Nik passed away from a fatal accident during a race in Grindelwald, Switzerland on March 10, 2012. The Nik Zoricic Foundation is a non-profit organization that was established in memory of him. .

Sport Development

Our Foundation is dedicated to helping athletes succeed by offering unique development opportunities and training camps. These camps provide a safe space for athletes to train together and work with specially trained coaches and to foster their growth and development.

What We Offer

  • Ski Netting & Pad Loan Program

    The Nik Zoricic (NZ) Foundation aims to promote safety in ski racing through both its Ski Racing Safety Grant and Ski Netting and Pad Loan Program. The grant and loan program is designed to provide support and access for clubs and events to netting and pad equipment to help ensure safe training and race environments.

  • Ski Racing Safety Grant

    The Nik Zoricic (NZ) Foundation recognizes the importance of safety and well-being for athletes in achieving success in ski racing. To promote this goal, the foundation provides a Ski Racing Safety Grant to Canadian ski resorts, clubs, and programs to assist in acquiring safety equipment for training and race environments.
